Join us in celebrating our September 2026 WiOPS Member of the Month, Karina Eshilian. Karina is a Sr. Business Development Specialist at Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI).
The stars aligned at the right time for her to land in this industry. Real estate development runs in her family. She did not envision her future self working in the construction industry, but here she is after almost two decades. She earned her degree in communications from Cal State Fullerton, did PR for beauty brands for a couple years, crossed over to a residential developer, and landed at PCI in the commercial construction industry in 2008.
Her favorite thing about the construction industry is “The people! Our industry is built on relationships, teamwork, and trust; our people bring different backgrounds, talents, and perspectives to solve problems and create something meaningful. I love seeing teams come together to create something that will have lasting impact on our local architectural landscape for years.
Karina brings her natural approachability and charm when sharing what she values about WiOPS, “I am all about opening the door for other people, being a girls’ girl, and supporting & celebrating the success of other women in our industry while I cheer them on. One of my favorite things about WiOPS is that it brings together women from all corners of construction. You don’t have to hold a certain title or work in a specific role to be part of this community. If you’re in construction, there’s a place for you here. Yes, you reading this! She advocates for women in the industry to “be curious, build relationships, make friends in the industry, and please don’t underestimate the value of your voice. Easier said than done but our industry is stronger, and so much better when different perspectives are represented. There is room for everyone in construction, let’s be kind and make room at the table.”
