We Are Better Together.

WiOPS comprises of an exceptional group of women in the construction industry! I’ve proudly been a part of this group since its inception! It’s a valuable forum for trade exposure, networking, and mentoring, but is also a lot of fun. WiOPS has encouraged me to feel confident as a woman in a male dominated industry knowing there will always be someone to support and understand what you’re going through.

What I value about WiOPS is the opportunity to meet and network with individuals from the construction industry, it has truly been such a fun and beneficial experience. There are so many different roles involved in the industry and being able to learn more in depth about them from various vantagepoints has been very rewarding. WiOPS has given me the opportunity to build on the existing relationships I have in addition to creating new ones that I may not have without the monthly events!

I started in this organization from day 1, almost 8 years ago. The reason for me joining was to be able to find more women that I would be able to work with and learn from. I was looking for a sense of motivation and a mentor to show me the lead.

The experience has been much more than I expected. From all the panels, guest speakers, and events I have attended with all these strong ladies in the industry it has changed and helped me become a better person in the construction world and in my personal life. I have learned to be more confident, a better leader within our company, and develop great relationships with others in WiOPS and the industry.

I can honestly say I have attended almost “ALL” events and hosted events at our office in the past years. My favorite would have to be the J&M Concrete Sample Day! Yes I do work there, but so many people were able to participate, learn, and enjoy themselves in so many ways it made hosting the event a pleasure! But all events have been great and I have learned a lot.
