Name: Katherine Christian
Company and Position: DPR Construction, Project Engineer.
Our WiOPS Member of the Month for April 2018 is Katherine Christian. She’s a project engineer for DPR Construction and is currently working on the Kaiser West LA campus.
She is involved with multiple groups through DPR, such as the ASC Reno competition, volunteering for Girls, Inc., and recruiting at her alma mater, University of Southern California.
She’s a well-balanced individual, and two of her hobbies, are cooking and hiking. Growing up, many family vacations and an abundance of LEGOs helped her explore different elements of architecture. Both of these led to an interest in a career in architecture and engineering. She loves construction because of the opportunity to learn something new every day and see things progress in the field. She adds “Every day being different brings its challenges and excitement.”
