Our WiOPS Member of the Month for November 2019 is Jacqueline Reed. She is a Senior Purchasing Manager at Clark Construction. She graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Civil Engineering.
She started her career in the field running work but has found that the procurement side of the industry aligns best with her talents. She remembers the SDSU New Student Resident Hall fondly. It was the first start-to-finish Design-Built Project she completed in her purchasing role. She recalls that “there were some speed bumps we needed to get over to meet the budgets and buyout for that project, however it was my best experience due to the great team that was supporting that project.”
She stays busy with her involvement as AGC Orange County Board Member, AGC: CLC- Construction Leadership Council- Statewide Steering Committee member, DBIA member, and Hope for Builders member. She also enjoys using her Peloton bike. She says that it’s “super fun, addicting and competitive, and most importantly convenient with my schedule.” Jacqueline also recently got engaged! She’s excited to start planning their wedding in Hawaii, where they’re both from.
