Jennifer Gross

Jen is an Associate with Degenkolb Engineers and just celebrated her 15-year anniversary with Degenkolb. Congratulations Jen!

When asked how she got into the construction industry she replied “I really enjoyed physics and math in high school and thought that biomedical engineering was my career path.  My freshman year of college I took an Intro to Structural Engineering class and I never looked back.”

Her favorite thing about construction is how rewarding it is to see something that you spend a lot of effort designing become a space that can provide essential services to your community. 

Jen loves baseball! “Baseball reigns supreme at my house.  My kiddos play baseball, my husband coaches baseball and our favorite summer evening activity is cheering on the A’s at the Coliseum.”

Jen is inspired by Dr. Ken Hover (one of her professors in college) who inspired her to pursue a degree in structural engineering. He also reinforced the importance of being passionate about the work that you do.
