Kara Hodges

Give a warm congratulation to our December Member of the Month, Kara Hodges from Knowland Construction Services!

She has over 12 years of experience in construction management with a background in project controls, marketing, proposal production, desktop publishing, and contract administration.

Construction has always been a part of her life. Her father would take her onsite to visit his clients, and it was then that she gained a love for being in the field. Her favorite thing about construction is seeing the work actually take place – being able to visit a project site and see the change order she had just written carried out in real life. She admires those in the field getting the work done.

She is most surprised by how many sub-industries there are. She believes there is a job for anyone because construction has endless opportunities in which you can determine where you fit best.

She is grateful for WiOPS events because she gets to learn specific construction things alongside amazing women.

Her response to the question, ‘What is the best gift you’ve ever received?’

“Hmm, honestly, I love when people give me money LOL it’s the best gift as an adult, especially if you live in California because you need a lot of it around here LOL!”
