Kimberly Walter

Kimberly lives in San Francisco and is a Project Engineer for Dome Construction. She has been in the industry since February 2018.

When asked how she got into the construction industry she replied “I studied Industrial Engineering with a minor in Sustainable Environments at Cal Poly SLO and got interested through one of my sustainable environments classes called “Sustainability for the Built Environment”, then began working in Construction right out of college as a Project Engineer.”

Her favorite thing about construction is the people and making an impact. Getting to know people from all walks of life is one of her favorite things about construction, and the path that construction is hopefully going towards a more sustainable future that helps to rise up communities and the environment.

Kimberly enjoys hiking, karate, backpacking and spending time with her dog, friends and family.

She feels inspired by her mom for showing her that you can work and have a marriage and kids, it is hard doing all, or even just doing one, but it is possible.
