Marci Donnelly

Marci resides in San Ramon and works for Hilti North America as a Regional Manager (Electrical Trade). Marci has been in the Construction Industry for 23 years!
Here is how she joined our industry: I came into the construction industry accidentally at a very young age. I was working as a temp Administrative Assistant to the VP of Aggregates at Pacific Materials, a Ready-Mix, Cement and Aggregate manufacturer (currently Cemex) while looking for a permanent position in marketing or advertising. The VP told me “This might not be the most glamorous industry, but it is exciting, and it has provided a wonderful life for me and my family”. He then offered me a full-time position as an inside sales rep working in the aggregate department. From there, I was promoted to outside sales in the Ready-Mix Concrete division, where I was the only woman in the Bay Area in that type of role in the industry for several years. I was very fortunate to have sponsors and mentors who helped me find success in the industry. I spent over a decade in the Ready Mix industry before joining Hilti and shifting into the MEP side of the business.
Her favorite thing about construction: I am very passionate about working on challenging and unique projects. I enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to find innovative ways to create sustainable, safe buildings in a timely manner. I love problem solving, and I really enjoy the engineering and technical side of the business.
Marci has several hobbies that include Yoga, Hiking, Martial Arts, Travel and Cooking. She is also an Ambassador for Shatterproof, an organization that works to de-stigmatize addiction and help individuals who suffer from the disease get quality evidence-based treatment for the length of time necessary to set them up for success in recovery.
When asked what inspires her, Marci responded “I like to listen to inspirational books on Audible. There are many inspirational people I listen to, but one of the authors I really like is Mel Robbins. I am inspired by her resilience, authenticity and the matter of fact way she approaches (and coaches others) taking self-responsibility for her path in life to experience the most authentic and fulfilling life of service to herself and others.”
Here is a quote that Marci wanted to share:
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, either way, you are right” – Henry Ford
THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS MARCI!
