Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

How did you get into the construction industry?

She started off as a Project Administrator helping with documentations. Now, she is a Project Engineer and uses her previous knowledge and expands upon it in the field.

Favorite thing about construction

Her favorite thing about construction is the feeling of seeing a project 100% complete and knowing that all the hard work that was put into the project created something great. She loves being a crucial part of adding and improving the communities that we live in, and enjoys helping show younger women that construction IS a viable career path that they can take.

Thing that surprised her the most about construction?

The thing that surprised her most about the construction industry is how fast-paced the work environment is compared to what most people see from the outside, and realizing how much goes into completing a project from start to finish.

Favorite WiOPS event

One of Hailey’s favorite WiOPS events was the “Ladies Night at the Boat Parade” with SASCO

What she values most about WiOPS

she values most about our organization is having a place where women in construction can all get together to meet each others with similar interests, while also taking a little break from our busy lives.

Current focus

She is currently working on her communication skills, and wants to make sure that her message is coming across clearly and that everyone on her team is on the same page. Kudos to you, Hailey!

Limitless energy and/or infinite intelligence?

She would chose unlimited energy, because one can always expand their knowledge if you put in the effort.
