Congratulations to Yesenia for being selected as our February 2024 Member of the Month! Yesenia is currently an Executive Assistant at Dean Visosky Construction, Inc. and has worked in the industry for 17 years.
Construction was not something that Yesenia imagined she would have a career in. She became a Field Support Assistant and started enjoying every aspect of site concrete and the entire process. Yesenia learned everything she could and asked tons of questions and a few years later became a Field Support Manager. She continued to build interest and wanted to be more involved in the operational side of things and that is where she became promoted to Assistant Project Manager. A couple of years later she took on a bigger role and Dean Visosky Construction, Inc. gave her the opportunity to grow as the Executive Assistant.
Yesenia’s favorite thing about construction is the challenge and experience that comes with every project.
Her favorite WiOPS event was the lamp-building workshop at Rosendin Electric. The process was complicated, but she appreciates the electrical field because of it. It was very rewarding to plug in the lamp on her 3rd attempt and for the bulb to shine! WiOPS reminds her how powerful we can be as women in the industry and how supportive the organization is.
