Women Working Together (WWT) had their second event last week in Downtown Los Angeles with 100 individuals in attendance from the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. WWT was formed in 2021 as a committee representing AIA Los Angeles WiA (Women in Architecture), NAWIC Los Angeles, SEAOSC-WiSE, and WiOPS Southern California. Together, the four organizations sought ways to encourage collaboration between women in our industry. WiOPS Board Member Leah Wimberly has served on the committee since their inception, and they are currently exploring ideas for future partnership.
WWT: Coffees & Conversations took place at the stunning offices of HED and was co-sponsored by HED, Clayco, Giroux Glass, and Pacific Wall Systems. Architects, engineers, and contractors gathered to have meaningful conversations, network, and empower one another. Attendees were treated to custom craft coffee beverages and a breakfast spread of pastries, fruit, and other light snacks.
