Paul Fitch

Paul works for Currie & Brown as a Director, and has been working in the Construction Industry for 19 years.
Paul was inspired to join the construction industry from his Father and Grandfather. Both were construction workers and Paul was always amazed by their work ethic and their ability to build, literally.
His favorite thing about construction is the variety of roles and skills that go into making a project succeed. From strategy to preconstruction through to execution and close out there are literally 100’s of different roles required.
Paul has spent most of his career in commercial negotiations and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (www.cips.org) for over 15 years. He is a keen soccer fan and supports his home town team of Brighton & Hove Albion along with the Minnesota Loons. Since arriving in San Francisco he has also been volunteering more and more.
When asked who inspires him, Paul responded “I am fortunate enough to be a father to two daughters (Evie and Clara) whom inspire me every day with their attitude, open mindedness and compassion for others. They are the reason I joined WiOPS as I wanted to be the best ally I can be, help raise awareness of women in construction and in return my membership to WiOPS is helping me be a better father to them.”
Here is a random thought from Paul:
Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If” opens with:
“If you can keep your head when all about you,
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you”
Which I remind myself of often, especially during some challenging work/project situations.
THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS PAUL!
