September 2018 – Mary Cox

Our September 2018 Member of the Month is Mary Cox of Sharpe Interior Systems! She’s a Senior Project Manager with over 30 years of construction industry experience. She started her journey working at a development/construction company who owned and managed hotels and high-rise buildings in downtown Los Angeles. From there, she joined Sharpe in 1989 as a Project Coordinator. From the start, she dedicated herself to learning the drywall trade and quickly progressed into estimating and project management, and recently was asked to join Sharpe Interior Systems, Inc.’s Executive Team. Her career has recently reached new “heights” as the Senior Project Manager responsible for two of the tallest residential tower projects in DTLA.

When asked what her favorite thing about construction is, Mary states “I enjoy the challenge and excitement of starting new complex projects and meeting and working with new clients, many of whom have become life-long friends.” She’s proud to be a part of WiOPS and its commitment to helping create the future leaders of the construction industry. In her spare time, she enjoys working on home renovation projects, going to concerts, traveling and boating.
